Miller Springs Nature Center is a 260-acre scenic natural area in the historic Tennessee Valley, which is located in the cities of Belton and Temple. The nature preserve is open to the public, at no charge, each day of the year. Visitors enjoy hiking and biking this parkland, which has more than 10 miles of trails divided into several loops.
On May 4, 2012, Belton’s very own Grand Avenue Theater was opened. A group of active community members saw a chance to meet a need in the Belton area for a family-friendly movie theater.
Belton Lake is located about three miles north of the City of Belton and approximately eight miles west of the City of Temple, on the Leon River, a tributary of the Little River, which is a tributary of the Brazos River. The Lake lies mainly in Bell County but extends into Coryell County on Cowhouse Creek and Leon River. The lake is owned by the U. S. Government and is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District for flood control, water supply, and recreational purposes
